GRANITE
Granite
is intrusive rock that start out as molten masses deep within
the earth. As the mass cools, the minerals forms into crystals
of various size and shapes, depending on the conditions at the
time. Large crystals are indicative of a slow cool down while
small crystals are typical of a rapid cooling. Granite is typically
made up of three minerals; quartz, feldspar and mica. "Gneiss"
are a category of natural granite stone that have metamorphosed
or changed to a different form. Granite stone is typically hardest
of the dimensional stone and withstand the elements very well.
Black Granite is best for kitchen counters since they resist
scratching are stain and heat resistant. Granite tiles
and granite slabs are also suitable for flooring or Paving,
wall cladding, all other types of Counter tops and tombstones.
Granite is suitable for either exterior or interior applications.
A very hard natural igneous rock formation of visibly crystalline,
granite is used as a building material in the form of granite
tiles and granite slabs for wall cladding, roofing and flooring
and a variety of other interior and exterior applications.
